Before fitting a new standard-bore cylinder, find the cause—dust ingestion, oil loss, overheating, detonation, injector or carburetor tune, cooling trouble, or debris can ruin the replacement quickly.
The 95 mm cylinder and piston restore the engine’s standard 449cc bore geometry. Piston-to-cylinder clearance, ring gap, pin fit, deck condition, valve sealing, cam timing, and model-specific gasket passages must all be checked; this is not a big-bore conversion.
