Product Overview

A camshaft upgrade, broken spring, or smoking engine from worn valve-stem seals can often be serviced without removing the cylinder heads. This tool uses the factory rocker-bar mounting points to compress one or more springs while each valve is held up.

It does not support the valve and cannot replace the correct air adapter, rope method, or piston-position procedure. LS heads with offset rockers require the compressor to remain centered over the retainer.

Confirm rocker mounting pattern, head casting, spring diameter, engine family, and tool clearance. Some tool designs work one cylinder at a time and hardware quantity should match the photos.

Compatibility Notice

Northline Parts does its best to list all known compatible models, but the correct part may fit an application that is not shown above. Match the original part, reference number, dimensions, connectors, mounting points, and product photos before purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use it without compressed air? A: An approved rope method may be used on some engines, but the valve must be securely supported by a proven service procedure.

Q: Does it fit LS7 or LS9 heads? A: Many similar tools do, but offset rocker geometry requires careful centering and exact mounting comparison.

Q: Can it compress double springs? A: Only if spring diameter, load, travel, and tool rating are suitable; verify before use.

Q: Is this an original-equipment part? A: No. This is a new aftermarket product. Brand names and part numbers are used only to identify compatible applications.
