Product Overview
A dead RPM needle, incorrect engine-speed reading, unreadable hour display, or moisture-damaged gauge can make service tracking and operation harder. Before replacing it, inspect the sender or alternator signal, power, ground, connector, fuse, and instrument wiring.
The instrument displays engine speed and accumulated operating hours on the matching JCB electrical system. It does not create the RPM signal, and replacing it will not repair a charging-system or sender fault.
Match 704/D7231, 704/50097, or 704/50228, gauge diameter and bezel, connector and pinout, voltage, signal source, machine model, year, and serial number.

Compatibility Notice
Northline Parts does its best to list all known compatible models, but the correct part may fit an application that is not shown above. Model year, production date, serial number, engine or equipment specification, installed options, and previous repairs can change fitment. Match the original part, reference number, dimensions, connectors, mounting points, and product photos before purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this fix a tachometer that reads zero? A: Only if the gauge is faulty. A missing alternator or sender signal, power, ground, or wiring fault can cause the same result.
Q: Can the old engine hours be transferred? A: Replacement hourmeters generally begin from their own stored value; record the machine hours for maintenance history.
Q: Will it fit every 3CX? A: No. JCB serial and dash revisions matter, so compare the gauge and part number.
Q: Is this an original-equipment part? A: No. This is a new aftermarket product. Brand names and part numbers are used only to identify compatible applications.
