Product Overview
A carbureted Ford build can have a good mechanical pump and still receive no fuel if the cam eccentric is missing after an EFI conversion, installed backward, or worn through. This eccentric rides on the cam sprocket and strokes the pump lever as the cam turns.
The eccentric does not fit every Ford engine or aftermarket timing set. One-piece and two-piece designs, cam bolts, dowels, sprocket thickness, timing-cover clearance, and pump-arm geometry must agree.
Identify the engine and timing set, confirm mechanical-pump provisions, and compare the eccentric diameter, offset, bolt, and dowel arrangement before assembly.
