The stop solenoid allows fuel when the ignition/control circuit is active and closes or releases the fuel-control mechanism when the tractor is switched off. Typical failure complaints include an engine that cranks but will not start, a machine that starts only when the linkage is moved manually, or an engine that continues running after key-off.
New Holland used multiple fuel-system configurations across these tractor families, so the tractor model alone is not enough for a guaranteed match. Compare the old solenoid's connector, mounting, plunger length and any stamped reference number before ordering.
