When the dash knob is loose, intermittent, or electrically open, the transfer case may not receive the driver's 2WD/4WD request. This replacement restores the selector input for supported electronic shift-on-the-fly systems. A good switch cannot repair a failed transfer-case motor, fuse, relay, module, wiring fault, or vacuum-operated hub problem.
