Product Overview
A chain that slaps the frame, jumps teeth, or cannot hold adjustment may have a seized or deeply grooved tensioner roller. Worn sprockets, stretched chain, bent mounts, poor wheel alignment, or an incorrect chain length must be corrected at the same time.
The spring-loaded roller controls slack on the unloaded side of the drive chain as the bike moves. It does not replace proper chain adjustment, alignment, and lubrication.
Compare roller diameter and width, pivot bolt, spring direction, mounting bracket, chain line, bike model, and drive setup. Modified torque-converter or straight-chain builds may require different geometry.

Compatibility Notice
Northline Parts does its best to list all known compatible models, but the correct part may fit an application that is not shown above. Match the original part, reference number, dimensions, connectors, mounting points, and product photos before purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can a tensioner fix a stretched chain? A: No. Replace a chain that exceeds wear limits and inspect the sprockets.
Q: Why is the chain tight in one spot and loose in another? A: Sprockets may be off-center, the chain may have tight links, or the axle may be misaligned.
Q: Will it fit a modified torque-converter bike? A: Only if the mounting and chain path remain compatible. Measure first.
Q: Is this an original-equipment part? A: No. This is a new aftermarket product. Brand names and part numbers are used only to identify compatible applications.
