Product Overview

Long cranking, a truck that starts and then stalls, low power under load, or no fuel at the filter can follow a failed lift pump. The oil-pressure switch, relay, fuse, tank sock, air leaks, restricted filter, and injection pump must also be checked.

The frame-mounted pump supplies low-pressure diesel from the tank to the filter and injection pump. It is not the high-pressure injection pump. Many applications rely on the oil-pressure circuit to keep it powered after cranking.

Confirm the 6.5L diesel engine, model year, body and chassis configuration, electrical connector, line fittings, mounting, flow direction, and original pump reference.

Compatibility Notice

Northline Parts does its best to list all known compatible models, but the correct part may fit an application that is not shown above. Model year, production date, serial number, engine or equipment specification, installed options, and previous repairs can change fitment. Match the original part, reference number, dimensions, connectors, mounting points, and product photos before purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does the pump run during cranking but stop afterward? A: The oil-pressure switch or run-power circuit may be faulty even if the pump itself works.

Q: Can low lift-pump pressure damage drivability? A: Yes. The injection pump needs a steady supply, especially under load.

Q: Does it fit a 6.2L diesel? A: This listing is identified for 1992-2002 6.5L applications; do not assume 6.2L fitment.

Q: Is this an original-equipment part? A: No. This is a new aftermarket product. Brand names and part numbers are used only to identify compatible applications.
