Product Overview
A small crack in this rubber joint can make a 250 hard to start, hang at idle, hesitate, pop through the intake, or run dangerously lean even after the carburetor has been cleaned. Flex the old boot, inspect both sealing faces, and use a controlled leak test before changing jets to cover up extra air.
The boot seals the carburetor outlet to the cylinder-head intake port and carries engine vacuum. Match its angle, bore, bolt spacing, vacuum fittings, O-ring or gasket arrangement, and original number; age-hardened clamps and airbox boots should be checked at the same time.
