Product Overview
A diesel that cranks longer and smokes heavily in cold weather may have an intake-heater problem after battery speed, compression, fuel quality, and injection timing are checked. This part is not an individual cylinder glow plug.
The thermostart unit heats the intake and, on the matching system, uses a small fuel supply to create a warm flame or heated charge for cold starting. Fuel and electrical operation must both be correct.
Match CH14079 or CH15593, thread, electrical terminal, fuel connection, intake-manifold location, tractor or seeder model, and serial number. Never substitute a dry glow plug into a fuel-fed thermostart port.

Match the original part, reference number, dimensions, connectors, mounting points, and product photos before purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this a cylinder glow plug? A: No. It mounts in the intake system and supports cold starting through a thermostart process.
Q: Can a bad thermostart cause hard starting in warm weather? A: It mainly affects cold starting; compression, cranking speed, fuel delivery, and timing should be considered.
Q: How long should I energize it? A: Use the tractor or engine manual. Overheating the unit can cause damage or excess fuel in the intake.
Q: Is this an original-equipment part? A: No. This is a new aftermarket product. Brand names and part numbers are used only to identify compatible applications.
