Product Overview
When a TriPac APU has the correct refrigerant charge and good airflow but still shows abnormal high- and low-side pressures, frosting, or poor cab cooling, the metering valve may be restricted or stuck. This TXV controls refrigerant flow into the evaporator.
Expansion-valve diagnosis requires pressure and temperature readings; low charge, a restricted drier, dirty condenser, weak fan, or compressor problem can look similar. Refrigerant service should be completed by properly equipped personnel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can a bad expansion valve cause no cooling? A: Yes, if it is stuck closed, restricted, or not controlling refrigerant flow correctly.
Q: Does frost always mean the valve is bad? A: No. Low airflow, charge problems, sensor issues, and restrictions elsewhere can also cause icing.
Q: Does it fit TriPac Evolution? A: Yes, it is listed for both TriPac and TriPac Evolution applications.
Q: Can I install it without recovering refrigerant? A: No. The system must be serviced using proper refrigerant recovery and evacuation procedures.
