Product Overview
This magnetic pickup reads the passing flywheel or ring-gear teeth and sends an engine-speed signal to the governor or controller. A weak or missing signal can cause unstable speed control or a no-run condition on some generator systems.
MSP675 uses a 5/8-18 UNF-2A thread with an approximately 3.125-inch pickup length and 7-inch lead. Set the sensor gap according to the controller/engine instructions.
Inspect the wiring and connector before replacing the sensor. A damaged harness or poor ground can cause the same fault as a bad sensor.
