Product Overview
High-torque crankshaft, flywheel, flexplate, and torque-converter work is much easier when the ring gear is held by a dedicated fixture. This LS tool locks the compatible gear through the bellhousing area without using a pry bar as a stop.
The tool engages the ring gear through the compatible bellhousing or transmission opening and transfers reaction torque to a fixed mounting point. It is not a pry bar or timing-lock substitute.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can it hold both manual flywheels and automatic flexplates? A: Only when the ring gear and mounting access match the tool.
Q: Can I use the starter to bump against it? A: No. The tool is for hand-tool service, not powered rotation.
Q: Will it set engine timing? A: No. It only prevents flywheel/flexplate rotation.
Q: Why inspect ring-gear teeth? A: Partial engagement can chip teeth or eject the tool under torque.
