Product Overview
A backhoe that cranks normally but the pump remains in STOP, needs the lever held to run, or will not shut down may have a failed solenoid. Power at the terminal, ground through the body, linkage movement, fuel supply, and injection-pump condition must be checked.
The threaded solenoid opens or closes the fuel path or stop mechanism in the matching injection pump. It is not a lift pump and does not correct air in fuel, a plugged filter, or internal pump wear.
