- John Deere 54C 54-inch Convertible mower deck
- John Deere 54D 54-inch Side Discharge mower deck

Fitment Note: Match deck identification. The genuine BM20827 system uses mulch plug, baffles and special blades; confirm the supplied aftermarket kit contents rather than assuming an identical package.
Product Overview
A standard side-discharge mower deck throws cut grass out the side. A mulching setup keeps the clippings circulating beneath the deck so the blades can chop them into smaller pieces before they fall back into the lawn.
The important match is the 54C, 54D, or 54X deck style—not simply a tractor that happens to have a 54-inch mower. Confirm which blades, baffles, plug pieces, and hardware are included in this aftermarket kit.
Key Features & Performance
- Deck type: 54C / 54D / 54X
- Function: Keeps clippings beneath the deck for finer mulching
- Fitment: Mower-deck style takes priority over tractor model
