Product Overview
Hood flutter, a latch that no longer holds even tension, corrosion, or damage from trail branches can make the front edge move and rattle. Some owners also replace usable factory latches for a firmer-looking exterior setup, but hood alignment and bump stops should be checked first.
The two side latches clamp the hood to the fenders in the factory locations. They are not a keyed center hood lock and do not replace the interior release system used on other vehicles.
Confirm JL or JLU body code, 2018-2023 model year, hole spacing, bracket angle, hood and fender alignment, and all supplied hardware. Gladiator JT and 4xe applications should only be included when the actual mounting layout matches the product photos.
