Product Overview
Rebuilding an automatic transmission stops when the return-spring retainer cannot be compressed safely enough to expose its snap ring. This bench tool centers over the drum and applies controlled pressure so the retainer can be removed and installed without improvised clamps.
It is a service fixture, not a vehicle jack or press for unrelated work. Drum shape, shaft support, travel, and adapter needs vary; Chrysler 604 applications may require a separate adapter.
